The First Day

Sunny’s first car ride to her new home.

I remember getting Sunny in May 2018. I saw her cute little photo online and decided to drive to the foster moms house to see her. She was there with her brothers and sisters. I remember them all running out to see who this stranger was. They were all barking and jumping and just so fun. But Sunny, she came to say hi then went right back to the backyard to explore. She wasn’t that interested in me anymore but somehow I knew that she was the perfect one. My friend looked at me and was like “Are you sure you want the great dog you see?”. Yup! The that was my answer.

I never had a pet before. She was my first. I probably wasn’t as attached to her as most people who want dogs, but she grew onto me and I grew onto her. She only cuddled when she wasn’t feeling well. Still to this day, she refuses to lay near me.
